DevOps Engineer III SUMMARY: Under limited supervision, the DevOps Engineer III serves as a bridge between the development, security, infrastructure, and operations teams primarily in onboarding new technologies. This role uses a collaborative approach to identify and optimize the interdependencies between these teams, from an applications development, testing, and production perspective. You must be eligible to work in the US without Visa Sponsorship. JOB DUTIES Builds and maintains the tooling and infrastructure used to automate the release and deployment and adapts existing procedures to reduce the occurrence of errors. Deploys updates and bug fixes while providing technical IT support independently. Develops and codes software that will integrate with back-end systems while mentoring junior engineers. Uses professional expertise to design processes for system troubleshooting and maintenance using Agile software development methods. Creates security & architectural diagrams, design specifications, and support documentation. Coordinates with Infrastructure and Security peers to establish and assign specific tasks required to meet project expectations. Works with Product Owners and Architects to identify infrastructure and security related activities. Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Typically requires a bachelor's degree and five (5) to eight (8) years of related experience or an equivalent combination. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES Experience with tools such as GIT, GitHub, Jenkins, Jira, Slack. Developed technical knowledge and aptitude. Experience with DevOps principles. Ability to use Agile software development methodologies. Experience application security (OWASP Top 10), and DevSecOps. Experience with continuous code deployment, test-driven development, and release management. Experience with the overall software development lifecycle. Knowledge of cloud-based application integrations and software as a service implementation. Extensive experience with appropriate programming languages and troubleshooting a wide range of IT issues, including unusual incidents.
