Supervises assigned operations for multiple or more complex departments providing ambulatory patient care services; ensuring that staff provide high quality, accessible, cost effective care and patient-focused services to members across the continuum which comply with local, state, and federal requirements; implementing and maintaining clinical practice standards, budgets, and staff development; delivering nursing/patient care services that add value, are integrated with business plans and meet or exceed cost, quality, clinical and utilization standards/performance measures. The Senior Department Manager role is distinct from Department Manager role based on a number of operational factors including the number, complexity, and geographic span of departments managed as well as the complexity of care delivered, and level of cross-departmental integration required for operations.
