About The Position

The Sr. Demand Planner will forecast materials and finished goods needed, manage inventory levels, report key metrics and KPIs, prepare comprehensive reports and analysis, and work cross functionally with the Iteris team to ensure efficient business operations. What you will be doing: Analyzing historical sales data, market trends, and other variables to predict future customer demand and create, refine, and manage forecasting models to improve accuracy and adapt to new information Forecasting material needs for production and collaborating with the master scheduler for replenishment Coordinating closely with sales, marketing, production, and operations to align promotions, new product launches, and supply chain strategies Generating finished goods and financial forecasts to meet requirements and project inventory levels Preparing comprehensive reports on inventory levels, forecasting accuracy, fill rates (order, line, unit, warehouse, and channel), customer service levels, and other key performance indicators to evaluate supply chain performance

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business, finance, economics, or a related field is typically required
  • Five to seven (5-7) years of relevant experience in supply chain, operations, analytics, or materials management, often with supervisory responsibilities
  • Experience with both direct and distribution channels and various fill rate metrics is essential
  • Proficiency in inventory and supply chain management software (e.g., Oracle, ERP systems), demand planning tools (like SAP/APO, NetSuite, or Oracle), advanced skills in Salesforce, and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite
  • Strong ability to analyze large datasets, identify patterns, and interpret financial and operational impacts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills; strong organizational, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
  • Proven track record in multiple forecasting models - Quantitative and Qualitative
