This position reports to the Director of Decision Services and is responsible for the continuous development and maintenance of the eligibility underwriting platform and infrastructure. This position will also oversee the design and build out of a robust Underwriting QA platform that is scalable and flexible to manage day to day QA tasks as well as enterprise level regression suites. This position supports customers within the department as well as those outside of the department. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or another relevant field.
2 or more years of experience in the same or related role.
Expertise in Python and experience using R is preferred.
Familiarity with relational databases.
Experience using tools such as SoapUI/LoadUI or other test automation tools.
Experience testing JSON/XML APIs via SoapUI or Postman or similar tools.
Experience with deployment pipelines and version control software such as BitBucket.
Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to resolve with effective and efficient coding practices.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills; adaptability and flexibility to a changing environment; and comfortable working in a dynamic, high volume, fast-paced environment.
Ability to understand and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and laws governing our industry/business and products.
Must be eligible to work in the USA and able to pass a background check.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with AWS infrastructure and applications is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Coordinate with project teams to understand requirements and design technical solutions.
Write effective, scalable, and well documented code.
Assist development team in improving responsiveness and performance of API services and applications.
Integrate credit risk models into the eligibility platform.
Development of lifecycle workflows within Bitbucket
Test and debug code within the web-based underwriting platform
Design and build out of a flexible and automated QA platform for day to day and regression testing to expedite certification of major project releases.
Use API tools such as SoapUI, Postman, or similar to unit test code enhancements.
Work closely with QA to research and resolve defects within the applications.
Development of digital tools to monitor application traffic and performance.
Understand, adhere to, and enforce all corporate policies.
