The Role: Sr. Database Architect (Ref 26-100) Synechron, Inc. is in need of a Sr. Database Architect(s) in New York, NY and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. to oversee the design and development of computer databases for clients in the U.S. This position qualifies under our incentive-based employee referral program.

Requirements

  • Must have a Master’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Mathematics, or related field as a Sr. Database Architect, Database Developer, Software Engineer, or related occupation.
  • The one (1) year of IT experience must include experience using Informatica Power Center Client, Python, Oracle, PL/SQL, and Linux.
  • In the alternative, we will accept a Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Mathematics, or related field, plus five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate IT experience.
  • One (1) year of the five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate IT experience must include experience using Informatica Power Center Client, Python, Oracle, PL/SQL, and Linux.
  • All experience may be acquired concurrently.
  • Domestic travel not to exceed 20% of time and relocation is required.
  • International travel not required.
  • Travel is limited to Synechron and/or client facilities based on project needs.
  • Incidental telecommuting permitted.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with business users to identify project needs and requirements.
  • Determine the appropriate strategies for the database architecture.
  • Oversee the migration of data from existing databases to new solutions.
  • Review the work of junior team members to ensure proper execution of the project.
  • Train new users.
  • Provide updates to project stakeholders and other business leaders.
