The Role: Software Developer (Ref 26-104) Synechron, Inc. is in need of Software Developer(s) in New York, NY and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. to work under the guidance of senior team members to design, develop, test and implement computer applications. This position qualifies under our incentive-based employee referral program.

Requirements

• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering (any), Mathematics, or related field, plus two (2) years of IT experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer, Test Lead or related occupation.
• The two (2) years of IT experience must include experience using Unix, Linux, Pega, Java/J2EE, WebSphere, and JBoss.
• In lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent), we will accept a Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) earned through any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience, as determined by a professional evaluation service.
• All experience may be acquired concurrently.
• Domestic travel not to exceed 20% of time and relocation is required.
• International travel not required.
• Travel is limited to Synechron and/or client facilities based on project needs.
• Incidental telecommuting permitted.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze project requirements.
• Customize software to meet project requirements.
• Help to coordinate the installation of software applications.
• Work under the guidance of senior team members to ensure the timely execution of the software development project.
