Sr. Data Governance Strategy Advisory Consultant
About The Position
Responsibilities: Lead data governance strategy and advisory engagements for various insurance clients covering P&C Understand strategic priorities and desired outcomes Identify business - IT data point points Understand current data governance tool usage and tool / implementation challenges Capture expectations on data governance approach Review data landscape across various domains Evaluate governance maturity Assess data security, data lifecycle management necessities Identify gaps across metadata, data quality, lineage, stewardship Identify risks impacting reporting and regulatory compliance Evaluate gaps in ownership, processes and governance workflows Prioritize gaps based on business priority and define the scope for data governance strategy Develop target state governance vision with key business leaders and IT stakeholders Define target data governance operating model Establish standards and processes for data governance implementation Develop roadmap for DG implementation Set measurable DG KPIs Recommend steps to operationalize governance across IT and business Skills and Competencies Understanding of Insurance business processes, regulatory needs, data ecosystems Expertise in data governance, data quality, MDM, on-prem and cloud data ecosystems Expertise with Data Governance tools such as Collibra, Alation, MS Purview, Informatica EDG, Axon, CDG Familiarity in ETL, Data Engineering, Analytics and Cloud data platform and cloud platforms Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Requirements
- Understanding of Insurance business processes, regulatory needs, data ecosystems
- Expertise in data governance, data quality, MDM, on-prem and cloud data ecosystems
- Expertise with Data Governance tools such as Collibra, Alation, MS Purview, Informatica EDG, Axon, CDG
- Familiarity in ETL, Data Engineering, Analytics and Cloud data platform and cloud platforms
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
