About The Position

Vistra Corp. is a leading, Fortune 275 integrated retail electricity and power generation company based in Irving, Texas, providing essential resources for customers, commerce, and communities. The Corporate Compliance Analyst is responsible for assisting the Sr. Director Corporate and Retail Compliance with designing, implementing and monitoring Vistra’s Ethics & Compliance Program and promoting an organizational culture that encourages ethical conduct and ensures that business practices and activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies. This role will support the centralized compliance activities including Ethics, Code of Conduct, Antitrust, and Anti-Corruption compliance.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years Compliance, Regulatory, or Risk Management experience
  • Strong analytical skills, judgment and energy
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the performance of the Ethics & Compliance Program and, with direction from Sr. Director Corporate & Retail Compliance, take appropriate steps to improve its effectiveness.
  • Assist with maintaining policies and procedures for the general operation of the Ethics & Compliance Program and its related activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct.
  • Assist in creating reports and presentations on a regular basis, and as directed or requested, present compliance efforts to the Compliance Leadership Team.
  • Work with compliance leaders to track required compliance training.
  • Lead efforts to update and deliver yearly, required Code of Conduct training as well as track completion.
  • Work with operations personnel and management to update compliance metrics monthly and quarterly and identify and escalate variances as appropriate
  • Exercise critical thinking and problem solving to continually examine aspects of operations to improve and standardize processes across relevant organizations and teams
  • Ability to work with internal and external groups to create, launch, and track required compliance training
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable laws, rules and regulations as well as compliance best practices
