About The Position

ENTRUST is seeking a talented and driven Senior Control Systems Engineer to join our growing team of experts in the electric power generation sector. In this senior-level role, you will bring your engineering expertise to the forefront, leading the execution of complex projects that power communities and industries. Specifically, this role will focus control systems and supporting other team members with other power generation related projects (i.e. balance of plant, electrical design support, etc.). This position offers a flexible work environment tailored to your lifestyle, with remote, hybrid, and in-office options available depending on your location. Some travel (15–30%) is required to support project needs and client engagement. As a Senior Control Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in assisting with planning, scheduling, and executing the technical aspects of engineering projects. You will be responsible for designing and programming both hardware and software systems, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions for power plants. Your work will center on instrumentation, control, and electrical systems, ensuring high performance and reliability. Collaboration is at the heart of this role—you’ll work closely with internal teams, clients, and contractors to ensure project success through structured processes such as Design Reviews, Program Reviews, and Project Closeout Meetings. Your ability to communicate effectively and resolve issues in real time will be essential to delivering exceptional results. Requirements

  • 5-10+ years of experience in the power generation related to controls, electrical, instrumentation
  • Subject matter expertise in one or more of the following areas: DCS Platforms (experienced in one of the following platforms): Emerson Ovation GE Mark Systems ABB Symphony Siemens T3000 PLC / HMI Platforms
  • Process understanding of power generation facilities
  • Understanding of drawings, able to interpret/trouble-shoot hardware designs and process diagrams
  • Well spoken and able to generate comprehensive documents and/or reports for clients related specific scope of works (i.e. specifications, evaluations, etc.)
  • Promotes teamwork by demonstrating effective communication skills and collaboration with peers, management, and the client
  • Ability and willingness to travel 20-40% locally and domestically
  • Proactive, resourceful and highly motivated to achieve in budget and on time project success/completion
