The Senior Consultant, Marketing Management, will lead the development and execution of marketing strategies that elevate the end‑to-end FP and Member Experience across annuities as well as positioning annuities across audiences within this space. This role requires a blend of strong marketing discipline, creative problem solving and the ability to partner effectively across the enterprise to deliver meaningful, customer‑centric outcomes. This includes enhancing ongoing communications, contributing to on‑target positioning, and leveraging audience insights in alignment with the annuity value proposition, Making the Complex Simpler. It also requires the ability to work directly with senior leaders, translating complex insights into clear, actionable presentations that support strategic decision‑making. As a Senior Consultant, you'll lead the development and execution of marketing strategies using highly advanced marketing principles. You will execute on future business or marketing needs driven by quantitative data/research, competitive insights and/or consumer behaviors. Additionally, we'll count on you to ensure a strong focus on end-to-end customer experience, delivering exceptional customer experience overall.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate understands annuity and/or financial services products, brings strong marketing acumen, and has a passion for improving customer experiences.
  • Series 6 required within 120 day of hire.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration or related field; graduate degree highly desirable.
  • Experience: Typically, 10 or more years related professional experience in marketing, field sales management, insurance or related field. Master’s degree may be substituted for a portion of the experience requirements as appropriate.
  • In-depth knowledge of marketing methodologies, insurance and/or financial services products including regulatory environment, distribution systems, and customers preferred.
  • Knowledge of product distribution methods.
  • Ability to develop and review research studies, communicate research findings, market recommendations based on findings, develop and negotiate contracts/service agreements with internal/external contacts, and lead multiple projects planning projects.
  • Ability to function independently or in a team environment.
  • Demonstrates core marketing proficiencies, including strategy development, utilization of insights and analytics, building brand equity and developing effective marketing communications.
  • Command of and ability to understand and deliver customer focus, operating capabilities, and strategic capabilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical insurance designations such as CPCU, CLU, ChFC, FLMI considered a plus.
  • Prior marketing development and project leadership exposure/experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the Member Experience marketing portfolio ensuring content and engagement strategies meet the evolving needs of key audiences from Pre-sale to Post issue.
  • Partner with Annuity Experience and Operations teams to develop strategies and messaging that bring forward fresh, compelling experience stories in a mature and highly competitive market.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to build experience‑focused materials—ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with Compliance and Regulatory requirements.
  • Lead annuity positioning and promotional planning initiatives across channels, including stakeholder communications, website content, sales‑activation tactics, media and social planning, and premium item fulfillment—all with a consumer Member Experience lens.
  • Support experience‑driven enhancements by auditing and updating existing materials, developing new content, and coordinating activation tactics as needed.
  • Maintain all marketing and experience and positioning materials to ensure content remains relevant, timely, accurate, and compliant.
  • Serve as a team leader and experience advocate, representing Marketing in cross‑functional forums, driving leadership initiatives, and mentoring and supporting the development of others.
  • Leads in the development and execution of strategies and plans that ensure long term sustainable growth of the business.
  • Synthesizes data and uses this understanding to support identification and innovation of business building solutions.
  • Leads sophisticated projects and processes within area of responsibility to deliver results with multiple target completion dates and shifting priorities.
  • Implements digital and traditional marketing tactics and media, including creative development process, planning, and execution.
  • Leads creative development and provides specific feedback on look and feel and develops strong creative briefs.
  • Monitors emerging innovative trends in content, design and marketing tactics
  • Reviews and analyzes customer insights and analytics and tools to understand and forecast market, competitor and customer needs and behavior.
  • Helps to define appropriate target audiences, evaluate sufficiency, and effectively get results with data-based decisions.
  • Ensures programs are on strategy and on schedule.
  • May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
