In this role, you will be at the heart of our projects, working closely with clients to bring their visions to life. Peter Johnson Builders is a company focused on high-end, architecturally designed custom homes and remodels, and we are looking for a talented and motivated Sr. Construction Project Coordinator to oversee and control the pre-construction process. The ideal candidate is a growing professional and team player that can perform in an administrative capacity and support the pre-construction department as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in an administrative role
  • Previous experience in the construction industry preferred
  • Proficiency with Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused mindset
  • Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Commitment to upholding high-quality standards and delivering exceptional results

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with Buildertrend or Procore is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and develop plans
  • Guide clients through material and design choices during the selection process
  • Communicate with trade partners to obtain accurate pricing and project timelines
  • Monitor project progress, identifying potential risks and implementing proactive solutions
  • Maintain organized documentation and records throughout the project lifecycle
  • Prepare, edit, and organize project documents, reports, and spreadsheets
  • Develop, review, and update project budgets
  • Coordinate projects and building schedules
  • Create construction contracts through BuilderTrend
  • Contribute to cost estimates utilizing trade partner budgets and quotes, as well as unit pricing
  • Conduct project kick-off, department review, and management review meetings
  • Maintain trade partner relationships and develop relationships with new trade partners
  • Interface professionally with trade partners, architects, engineers, city and county officials, clients, and consultants
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to design documents
  • Procure project permits from local municipalities
