About The Position

STV currently has an opening in its New York, NY Offices for a Construction Manager within its Transportation division, focusing on transportation projects in the New York Area. The Construction Inspection Manager will collaborate with field staff for project inspection, review construction drawings, oversee construction activities, and coordinate with public and private agencies. Key responsibilities include monitoring contractor compliance, submitting daily reports, and acting as the Owner’s on-site representative to ensure quality and adherence to contract documents. Requirements

  • Minimum of 20 years of experience on infrastructure construction projects
  • Experience with and working knowledge of policies, procedures, and specifications for City Reconstruction Contracts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organization and time management skills
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
  • Minimum of 20 plus years of relevant experience as an inspector working on rail, tunnel, roadway, utility rehabilitation construction projects

Responsibilities

  • Work with field staff for inspection of construction projects
  • Review the construction drawings
  • Inspect construction activities
  • Coordinate construction with other public & private agencies
  • Review and monitor the Contractor's for contract compliance
  • Submit daily reports
  • Serve as the Owner’s on-site representative with the Contractor to coordinate and monitor matters of quality, substantial conformance to the contract documents
