About The Position

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Serve as an internal expert and consultant to assist the salesforce in the entire process of the quote through final sale of assigned complex or self-storage projects Provide sales and technical support to internal departments as well as external customers in regard to project qualification, design, estimating, quote presentation, and after sales support Appropriately qualify and vet which project are sufficient to quote, in need of more information, or decline to quote. Collaborate with sales and provide coaching opportunities during the qualification process Ensure the sale of products and services comply with proper pricing thresholds profit margin guidelines, policies and procedures Help close sales in accordance to meeting annual department sales goals Meet sales and GPM targets. Monitor close ratio via the quote/follow up log

Requirements

  • 5 years in Metal Building Sales involving commercial, industrial, agricultural and plans/specifications
  • Bachelor’s in business administration
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience with complex pre-fabricated metal building specification development, estimating and design is required
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience working with internal technical services and sales as well as external customers, contractors, and architects is required
  • Must be PC proficient and have a good understanding of Microsoft Office products, e-mail and Internet use

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) or related field is preferred
  • Sales experience in the metal building industry is strongly preferred
  • Ability to travel on a periodic basis necessary to be successful
  • Familiarity with and understanding of engineering design software strongly preferred
  • Ability to apply complex math skills is preferred
  • Strong customer service skills
  • MBS (Metal Building Software) proficient preferred
  • Ability to think conceptually and produce desired results
  • A combination of education and experience may be qualifying
