A role in Inventory Management Operations allows you to leverage your expertise by analyzing, researching, and creating solutions on a large scale to enhance Target’s ability to manage inventory.

Requirements

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in Target Supply Chain or Merchandising roles
  • Working understanding of Target Inventory Management replenishment systems
  • Excellent analytical ability
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Curiosity with a desire to learn and innovate
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently to prioritize and take action
  • Flexibility & resiliency; comfortable working in ‘grey areas’ that are constantly changing
  • Demonstrated ability to manage tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a focus on Out-of-Stocks below goal through leadership and weekly activities with the Inventory Management teams.
  • Quickly identify issues and recommend solutions to support a diverse business.
  • Leverage strong project management skills to scope, scale, analyze, and create sound solutions addressing root cause to Inventory Management related initiatives and projects.
  • Create a sense of urgency and high level of focus on OOS opportunities for the top focus areas such as Never Out Items, Company Space and Salesplans, and High Volume Stores.
  • Develop, train and reinforce process expectations for weekly and seasonal replenishment. This requires influencing a team to believe it is the right decision.
  • Partner with other IM Ops team members, such as the S&OP Team, Process Team, or Company & Seasonal Events Team to provide input, support and reinforce process expectations to achieve OOS and inventory goals.
  • Influence teams and provide training on process expectation for replenishment action steps associated with Transitions and Company Space/Salesplans.
