Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Five or more years of progressive experience administering compensation and benefits
  • Strong understanding of FLSA and compensation principles.
  • Thorough working knowledge of employee benefits policies and practices, and applicable federal and state regulations including the ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, and DOL
  • Strong skills in the Microsoft office suite, particularly Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal effectiveness with the ability to establish positive working relationships at all levels of an organization
  • Excellent analytical and project management skills with the ability to organize and prioritize work effectively
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive material
  • Attention to detail, with demonstrated accuracy and thoroughness in final work products

Responsibilities

  • Manage day‑to-day administration of compensation programs and provide guidance to HR and business leaders.
  • Support competitive offer development through market research, internal equity analysis, and compensation modeling.
  • Maintain compensation structures, job codes, policies, and tools; coordinate updates to job descriptions.
  • Lead the annual compensation cycle, including merit, short‑term incentives, and salary budget planning.
  • Partner with HRIS/Payroll to ensure accurate system updates for salary changes and incentive plan participation.
  • Stay current on federal, state, and local compensation regulations and support compliance efforts
  • Support day-to-day administration of health, wellness, retirement, and leave programs.
  • Conduct benefits reporting and analysis to ensure compliance with ACA, ERISA, COBRA, and other regulatory requirements (e.g., 5500s, SPDs, SARs).
  • Assist with open enrollment planning, communication, and execution.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and escalate complex issues when needed.
  • Participate in benefits audits and drive process improvements
