About The Position

As an ePlus Cloud-based Collaboration Architect (Cisco / Microsoft/ Zoom), you will be responsible for planning, designing, implementing and operating cloud-based unified communication solutions for clients. You will have the opportunity to work with our master architects, engineers, and consultants, to understand our clients’ needs and craft sustainable IT roadmaps to get them there. Your Impact The Collaboration Architect is responsible for the planning and designing solutions for multi-vendor Voice/Video Solutions. Conduct assessments and provide design, deployment, and implementation services for multi-vendor collaboration solutions Coordinate with telecom carriers for troubleshooting, PSTN connectivity, and number porting activities. Engineer collaboration solutions based on capacity planning and functional requirements. Implement tactical plans to meet project timelines while minimizing disruption to the customer environment. Engage various manufacturer engineering resources for lab access and design assistance Assess customer environments and make recommendations Serve as a Subject Matter Expert resource for sales and sales engineering Act as an escalation point for ePlus Engineers and Consultants Escalate issues to other team members, as needed Meet with key vendors to stay current on products and technologies Maintain multiple advanced manufacturer specific advanced certifications. i.e.: CCIE, Microsoft Teams Voice Expert, Collaboration Complete additional relevant certifications, as recommended or assigned by supervisor Collaborate with Technical Architect and National Engineering Leads to develop standardized assessment, delivery, and testing documentation for repeatable service delivery. Requirements

  • Strong customer service skills via phone and face-to-face interactions
  • Professional, customer-focused demeanor with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to think and come up with solutions quickly
  • Solid understanding of cloud-based services and telecommunications architectures.
  • Knowledge of typical service provider processes and systems, end-user requirements, and the Software as a Service (SaaS) business model
  • Proven troubleshooting methodology with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a desire to understand the “why,” not just the “what” or “how.”
  • Energetic and self-motivated, with a positive outlook to make suggestions and work with the team to build customer confidence and make continuous improvements of our support processes and tools

  • Must be fully knowledgeable and able to design and plan, implement and support IT solutions using two or more of the following technologies: Cisco Webex Calling Multi-Tenant and Dedicated Instance Microsoft Teams Calling including Teams PBX, Calling Plan, Direct Routing via third-party UCaaS and CUCM integrations, Hosted Direct Routing and Operator Connect Cisco Premise-based Unified Collaboration Solutions Contact Center (Cisco, Genesys, Five9, Zoom) Enterprise video conferencing platforms (Cisco, Logi, Neat, Polycom, Zoom, etc.) Zoom Phone and Conferencing solutions
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in IT
  • 4+ years’ experience in a Sr. Engineer or Consultant role
  • 4-year College degree preferred
  • Multiple industry-recognized certifications. i.e.: CCIE, Collaboration, Microsoft 365 Certified
