Role Summary The Cloud Security Engineer reports to the Cloud and Network Security Manager and is responsible for securing SiteOne’s hybrid cloud and on‑premises environments. This role focuses on identity, access control, Zero Trust architecture, and modern cloud security practices, while partnering closely with Infrastructure, Architecture, and Operations teams. This role requires the ability to adapt and contribute to multiple areas of IT security beyond cloud security. This role offers a dynamic workday that includes addressing security issues impacting business functions, supporting security initiatives, and maintaining current security solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 5 - 7+ years professional experience in cloud security and hybrid environments
  • Strong expertise with Okta and Microsoft 365 / Azure security
  • Deep understanding of identity, access control, encryption, and data protection
  • Ability to communicate security concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with NIST, ISO 27001, COBIT, or ITIL
  • Knowledge of SOX, PCI, and data privacy standards
  • Understanding of modern attack techniques including AI‑related threats
  • Preferred bachelor’s degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Certifications for example CISSP, CCSP, or CompTIA Security X

Responsibilities

  • Secure hybrid cloud infrastructure using Zero Trust and least‑privilege principles
  • Serve as SME for Okta, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, CASB, AWS, Prisma/Cortex Cloud, and DLP
  • Ability to create automation and find areas of improvement
  • Design and deploy scalable security solutions
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams to resolve security challenges
  • Lead escalated security incidents and investigations often times being the last point of escalation
  • Lead access issue resolution and/or troubleshooting with other teams and/or business owners
  • Secure AI and agentic systems using defense‑in‑depth strategies
