About The Position

The Mail Operations Senior Clerk will assist the team in executing Mail Operations related functions, that contribute to the completion and success of any expectations or customer requests. Most tasks will involve the proper processing and handling of all courier and mail types, and other mail operations projects as assigned. The Mail Operations Senior Clerk will perform all tasks in a cost efficient and effective manner, all of which is executed safely and within the Company guidelines. Purpose of the role Keep the company running at optimum efficiency Communication and Customer Service are valuable assets, when used effectively. Here at CarMax, the Mail Operations team’s role is critical to ensuring those assets, along with the daily run the business functions, are demonstrated to each customer internally and externally. The Senior Clerk associate will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, where there is an emphasis on teamwork and results focus. By nature, you are adaptable and resourceful: able to switch from regimented tasks to complex ad hoc requests at a moment’s notice. Mail Operations is much more than mail – it’s creating a simple and seamless experience for the business and customers.

  • Valid driver's license & a clean driving record
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Basic communications, computer, and math skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, sort, review, and distribute all incoming and outgoing mail
  • Provide the Home Office, and Home Office extension buildings with Mail Operations support
  • Work with members of different business areas to resolve mailing questions and issues
  • Coordinate machine servicing with external vendors
  • Maintain inventory of department supplies, invoice reconciliation and replenishment, asset tracking and disposal
  • Other duties and projects as assigned
