About The Position

As a Sr Chemical Engineering Manager here at Honeywell, you will be a part of Field Operating Services global team focusing on worldwide process technology execution and supporting the Services business. Your expertise will drive operational excellence and ensure the successful execution of projects that enhance productivity and efficiency within our operations with focus on inspection services. You will report directly to our Director of Services and you’ll work out of our Des Plaines, IL location on a Hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will impact Honeywell by optimizing work processes, developing deep team technical bench strength to meet global project demands, improving service quality, supporting HSE, managing operational costs, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the field services team. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Chemical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 5 years of experience in a managerial role within the Petrochemical and Refining industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Field Service operations, service organization, inspection services, chemical process design, optimization, and safety regulations.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams.

  • 10 years of experience in a managerial role within Petrochemical and Refining industry.
  • Experience in inspection services, and knowledge of inspector certifications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a global field service team to execute customer projects in the field with focus on inspection services.
  • Enhance Field Service Labor SIOP with focus on inspection services and develop global technical bench strength.
  • Standardize and maintain technical competency evaluation.
  • Lead and manage a team of 15+ inspectors to execute customer projects in the field.
  • Oversee the execution, deliverables, and positioning of Field Service to support business needs.
  • Implement work processes to enhance project execution
  • Maintain compliance with HSE safety standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Technology Services, Regional Service Managers, Business and Sales to drive project execution and achieve business objectives.
  • Mentor and develop field service talent within the team to foster professional growth.
