Requirements

  • 3+ years of financial institution experience; combination of teller, new accounts, lending preferred.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including MS Office Suite, and other window applications.
  • Someone who is service driven and able to communicate solutions with empathy.

Nice To Haves

  • Credit Union platform experience.
  • Working knowledge of these systems – Symitar/Episys, MeridianLink, Synergy.
  • Fluency in Spanish, specifically in finance/banking terminology.
  • A dedication to service, working with organizations that seek to improve the lives of people in your community.

Responsibilities

  • Open new accounts and establish new memberships including Checking, Certificates, and Money Market Savings, Business Accounts, IRAs, Living Trusts, vesting changes and/or statements related to fraud, check orders (new and reorders), changes of addresses/phone numbers.
  • Process consumer and/or business loan applications - Interviews loan applicants, follows up on approved or pending loans, collects stipulations required for funding, prepares loan documents, and funds consumer loans.
  • Provides new MSRs with guidance, coaching and training to develop their skills.
  • Assists in auditing and reviewing daily new accounts, loans and business accounts.
  • Provides overrides to Tellers.
  • Performs teller functions, as needed. Including accepting negotiable items, scanning checks, buying and selling cash from and to CDMs/TCRs or other Branch Reps/Vault Teller, opening/closing procedures.
  • Engage in decision-making by researching internal procedures/policies and communicating with the credit union support departments as necessary to solve member issues.
  • Identify referral and cross-sell opportunities expanding the member relationship based on account history and needs, including reviewing promotional offers and marketing campaigns.
  • Supports business development by participating in activities (e.g., benefit fairs) with Select Employer Groups and community functions, as assigned.
