About The Position

As the Senior Business Systems Analyst, you will work independently to lead and coordinate Business Systems Analysts in the development of functional specifications for major systems and applications and/or bundles of smaller systems and applications. While acting as a resource for colleagues with less experience, you will conduct data analysis, process mapping, and system testing to ensure successful implementation and functionality across the business lines. Additionally, you will interface with Business Analysts to ensure that functional specifications capture business requirements and aid in the translation to technical requirements. This is an advanced and senior position requiring business and technical expertise in a wide variety of educational and business areas. You will thrive in this role through your knowledge of industry best practices and ability to explain complex, difficult and/ or sensitive information, since you will be responsible for maintaining functional and nonfunctional specifications in a portfolio of systems/applications. Lastly, in this role you will formulate and define system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements.

Requirements

  • Experience in information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain, Legal Operations, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Experience as a Business Systems Analyst or Senior Analyst supporting enterprise SaaS platforms.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in financial services, banking, insurance, or similarly regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with third‑party risk management (TPRM), vendor governance, and regulatory controls impacting contract workflows.
  • Experience supporting audit, compliance, and risk‑based approval models within enterprise systems
  • Experience with Ariba and/or Icertis procurement system(s)

Responsibilities

  • System requirements gathering and analysis, which includes analyzing requirements to identify dependencies, conflicts, and gaps.
  • System design and documentation, which includes developing functional specifications, user stories, and system design documents.
  • System testing and quality assurance, which includes conducting system testing, including functional testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
  • System implementation and support, which includes support system implementation activities, such as data migration, user training, and system go live.
  • Engaging with stakeholders to understand their needs and communicate effectively, translating technical concepts into business – friendly language.
