About The Position

As the Sr. Business Manager, you are 4-5+ years into your agency account management career and can travel to quarterly dealer meetings (25% of the time). You are media savvy, with experience in TV and Digital (Linear TV, LPV/Streaming, Radio, OLV, Programmatic, Social), proficient in MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, with the ability to learn new systems specific to the automotive business. You have experience managing Client Accounts (automotive experience is a plus but not required), relationship building, and have leadership and problem-solving abilities. You have strong verbal and written communication skills with people at all levels of an organization. You are analytically minded and have a proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and independently. You are the liaison between Nissan National Marketing and Nissan Regional Marketing, and this role works closely with all agency departments to monitor that goals for Nissan are met and the best client work is produced that drives the business forward. You are agile and accountable. You command a room, take charge, and are decisive in ambiguous situations or critical moments. The Sr. Business Manager is a client partner to the Southeast Region trusted with owning the Nissan brand and demonstrating an understanding of clients’ overall business, not just the projects within the agency. You help clients weigh options, evaluate trade-offs, and make decisions. You are well on your way to mastering the art of delivery and diplomacy. You help ensure a broad understanding of the Client’s business problems and objectives. You take calculated risks with the support of leadership, when appropriate. You help keep track of the finances and are a steward of the relationship. Actively pursuing cohesion among brand/region and proactively seeking feedback from clients and department leads, you leverage this intelligence to drive efficiency and improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Nissan Regional Clients to define and implement marketing strategies and tasks.
  • Present National and Regional creative, media plans, promotions, strategies, digital recap reports, etc. at quarterly dealer meetings.
  • Work with Client to review National model support, spot market support and district inventory levels to implement appropriate model mix.
  • Work with Regional Client to determine DMA meeting advertising needs.
  • Continuously work with Regional Clients to sell in regional advertising programs.
  • Provide Client with effective marketing plans to address new opportunities or provide solutions to specific issues
  • Provide Client with value-added opportunities.
  • Update Client with National and Regional creative work.
  • Understand strengths, weaknesses and unique opportunities within assigned markets
  • Prepare materials and present in quarterly dealer meetings, including Nissan National and Regional creative, media, and promotional plans.
  • Advise Business Director on in-market conditions and assist in regular competitive reporting for Client review (sales, share, SOV, etc.).
  • Monitor fiscal year advertising budget for assigned markets.
  • Initiate media planning/buying process through use of media action request forms.
  • Work with media planning in identifying new media opportunities for assigned markets.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of local media environment.
  • Communicate National new vehicle launch plans to Regional Client
  • Assist the Business Director in meeting with Regional Clients to discuss market historical plans, current needs, local business situation, model focus, and current media situation/trends.
  • Review all launch decks as they become available.
  • Responsible for providing accurate direction to internal agency teams.
  • Update weekly status reports to keep team up to date on status of all ongoing projects.
  • Solicit Agency resources to provide Clients with most current information.
  • Participate in establishing appropriate business objectives in coordination with the Business Director.
