The Sr. Business Development Specialist role is critical for driving Foxconn's expansion in the San Francisco Bay Area. This position is tasked with transitioning the business from traditional consumer electronics to high-value, regulated sectors, including Medical Electronics and Advanced Aviation/Drones. The ideal candidate must possess a deep professional background in the ICT (Information and Communication Technology) or Electronics industry within the Bay Area to ensure immediate market traction and business growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum over 5 years of Business Development or Sales experience specifically within the ICT, Semiconductor, or Electronics manufacturing industry.
  • Must have an established professional network in the Bay Area technology ecosystem (startups, Tier-1 OEMs, and research institutions).
  • Strong negotiation, contract management, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced "start-up" environment within a global corporation.
  • Native or professional fluency in English is required.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or technical background is a plus.
  • Familiarity with FAA or FDA regulatory processes is highly desirable.
  • Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is highly preferred to facilitate seamless communication with Taiwan HQ.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities within the Bay Area ICT ecosystem, focusing on high-margin sectors such as medical device manufacturing (PCBA/System Assembly) and AI-integrated hardware.
  • Support the business unit’s long-term goal of achieving NT$10 billion in drone-related revenue by 2030 through aggressive market development and partnership building.
  • Navigate complex regulatory environments, ensuring all business activities and technical alignments comply with FAA (Aviation) and FDA (Medical) standards.
  • Act as a critical bridge between Taiwan HQ R&D/Operations teams and local US clients, facilitating real-time feedback loops and participating in cross-time zone meetings to align technical specifications and production schedules.
  • Conduct deep-dive competitive analysis and monitor industry trends (e.g., AI server demand, E-mobility, and GNSS applications) to inform HQ’s strategic decision-making.
