About The Position

Amazon is seeking a Sr. Business Development Manager to join the Sports & Outdoors team. This role is pivotal in driving growth by recruiting, managing, and activating Sports & Outdoors brands across North America. The ideal candidate will leverage business development expertise, category knowledge, and strong relationships to unlock new revenue opportunities, while using a solution-oriented and analytical approach to drive results.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional or military experience
  • Experience structuring and negotiating complex agreements and leading cross-functional groups to orchestrate and successfully complete deals
  • Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software
  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Experience influencing multiple stakeholders and leading cross functional teams across geographies and business units
  • Experience working with technical and product stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize features, and influence product roadmaps

Responsibilities

  • Drive the growth of the Sports & Outdoors business by recruiting, negotiating, and managing strategic partnerships with leading and emerging brands.
  • Innovate and think outside the box to create new business strategies and unlock emerging revenue opportunities across major verticals.
  • Structure innovative partnership models with leagues, talent and specialty retail that expand Amazon’s brand portfolio and drive customer relevance.
  • Manage the sales funnel and close new business through strategic partnerships and negotiations.
  • Act as the primary relationship owner for brand partners, providing thought leadership and strategic guidance to maximize sales, visibility, and customer engagement.
  • Review strategic insights and deal proposals with senior leadership, synthesizing complex data into clear, actionable strategies.
  • Stay ahead of market trends and competitor activity to inform category strategy and influence investment priorities.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and high performance.
