About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY The Sr Business Analyst plays a critical hybrid role, serving as the link between business needs, solution design, and project execution. Reporting directly to the Analytics Manager, this role is responsible for the detailed analysis and documentation of requirements (the "what" and "why") and the tactical management of the delivery process (the "how" and "when") for our technology and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional analytical skills, deep process modeling expertise, and proven project execution capabilities in an Agile or hybrid environment. I. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS A. Reports to Analytics Manager B. Supervises: None II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES A. Facilitate Agile meetings and acceptance testing to improve and communicate product development to internal and external stakeholders. B. Compile, and document product and process requirements, issues, and workflows in FECC project management software. C. Create and maintain requirement documentation including flow charts, use cases, etc. to better illustrate feature specifications. D. Manage scope, project activities, and change requests to assess their impact on delivery goals. E. Identify current-state inefficiencies and design optimized future-state business processes, and workflows within various solutions. F. Handle ad hoc business queries and requests from management for one-off data pulls, analysis, and visualizations to provide quick insights to management. G. Create clear and concise visualizations to communicate the ad hoc analysis to non-technical stakeholders. H. Knowledge Leadership & Capability Building: Drives the continuous evolution of the Business Analysis practice by spearheading the adoption of innovative methodologies, such as AI-augmented requirements engineering and advanced data storytelling. Acts as a formal mentor to junior and mid-level staff, standardizing high-impact workflows and ensuring the team's collective analytical maturity keeps pace with shifting market trends and enterprise-level strategic goals. III. INTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS A. This role requires a strong partnership with the Analytics Manager/Product Owner by: i. Receiving prioritized high-level requirements and vision from the Analytics Manager/Product Owner and translating them into executable project tasks. ii. Advising the Analytics Manager/Product Owner on feasibility, effort, and technical constraints to inform backlog prioritization and roadmap decisions. iii. Ensuring accountability by having the Analytics Manager/Product Owner formally sign off on the final User Stories and Acceptance Criteria before development begins. B. Sr. Data Engineer: Work closely to define the technical requirements for data integration, transformation (ETL/ELT), and data storage architecture related to the project. Ensure business requirements are technically feasible and that all data flows align with established data engineering standards. Documents source-to-target mapping and data validation rules for system integration C. Software Developer: Detail user stories and acceptance criteria for implementation. Be the first point of contact for developers on requirement clarity, priority, and functional issues during the build phase. Validate that the developed solution meets the documented specifications. D. Sr. Data Analyst: Consult on the data requirements necessary for reporting and analytics. Ensure the data captured by the new system or process is structured correctly for future analytical consumption. Review key metrics to validate that the new system achieves the desired business outcome. E. All Employees: To assist and support data infrastructure developments and issues. IV. EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS A. Working with various stakeholders for requirements gathering, and removal of roadblocks V. WAGE AND SALARY This position is an exempt position under the Wage and Hour law, and overtime compensation is not required. POSITION SPECIFICATIONS Sr. Business Analyst Education Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Finance, Economics or similar degree is preferred. Certificates in the following areas are highly desirable: · IIBA Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) · Certified Associate in Project Management or Project Management Professional · Certified ScrumMaster or Professional Scrum Master · PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) Experience A. 3-5+ years of experience in an analytics, project management, or software development role, with significant experience managing or coordinating technology projects (Hybrid BA/PM, Scrum Master, or Project Coordinator experience preferred Job Knowledge A. Strong practical knowledge of Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and/or Hybrid project delivery methodologies is desired. B. Ability to quickly understand and document technical concepts, data structures, and system integrations is desired. C. Analytical, organizational, facilitation, and verbal/written communication skills are desired. D. Knowledge of project management/Agile tools (e.g., OpenProject, Jira, Trello) and process modeling tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart) is desired. E. Proficiency with data visualization/query tools for ad hoc analysis (SQL, Python, R, Apache Superset, Tableau, Power BI) is desired. F. Must have the ability to quickly obtain knowledge of the following: o Cooperative Departments - understand the responsibilities of Accounting, Administration, Connect2First, Engineering, Marketing, Operations and the various teams within those departments. o Software Applications - Understanding of the different software applications, the subject matter experts of each application, and the data each application is responsible for collecting. o Cooperative Principles and Operations - General knowledge of principles, structure and operations.
