About The Position

This role leads the discovery, documentation, and translation of complex healthcare and RCM requirements—bridging clinical, operational, and technical perspectives—to deliver solutions that improve financial performance, transparency, and compliance. The Senior Business Analyst – Healthcare / RCM serves as a strategic partner to operational leaders, clients, and technical teams, ensuring analytics, reporting, and application solutions effectively support healthcare revenue cycle operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Senior Analyst supporting healthcare, analytics, or revenue cycle initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle processes, including billing, coding, AR, denials, self‑pay, and appeals.
  • Experience supporting analytics or reporting initiatives for healthcare operations or client reporting teams.
  • Advanced requirements elicitation, documentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to translate complex healthcare workflows into actionable technical requirements.
  • Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare data structures and reporting workflows.
  • Experience working with BI tools such as Power BI.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL sufficient for data validation, analytical review, and analyzing queries/results for troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps and Agile backlog management.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with hospital host or PAS systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech).
  • Familiarity with Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate).
  • Experience supporting external client reporting and recurring deliverables in healthcare environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead requirements elicitation for analytics and reporting initiatives supporting RCM performance, client reporting, and operational decision‑making.
  • Translate healthcare business needs into clear functional and technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Partner with healthcare operations, client success, and leadership teams to understand end‑to‑end revenue cycle workflows, including billing, coding, claims, payments, denials, and AR management.
  • Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and Analytics / BI development teams.
  • Maintain and groom backlogs in Azure DevOps, ensuring requirements are complete, prioritized, and implementation‑ready.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and support sprint execution by clarifying requirements and resolving ambiguities.
  • Proactively identify gaps, risks, and dependencies related to healthcare data, workflows, or compliance.
  • Support QA and UAT by validating data outputs and facilitating stakeholder review and sign‑off.
  • Perform SQL validation or analytical review as needed to confirm requirements and results.
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accuracy across recurring and ad hoc healthcare reports.
  • Prepare materials for internal and client‑facing discussions, including reporting requirements, operational insights, and status updates.
  • Provide clear, concise communication to clinical, operational, technical, and executive audiences.
  • Mentor junior Business Analysts on healthcare concepts, documentation standards, and stakeholder engagement.
