Sr. Business Analyst
About The Position
As the Senior Business Analyst (Sr. BA), you will serve as the organization’s lead authority on business analysis, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment across all BA activities. In a structure where mid-level and junior BAs report to managers without formal BA backgrounds, you will play a critical role in mentoring, guiding, and standardizing BA practices to ensure project outcomes are consistent, requirements are complete, and solutions align with IP Corporation’s overall strategy. This role will work extensively with stakeholders across operations, supply chain, finance, quality, and production to translate business needs into Infor M3 functional requirements and ensure business solutions drive long-term value.
Requirements
- 7+ years of progressive experience in business analysis or related fields.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5 years of experience in one or more of the following: FP&A, Manufacturing, Supply Chain & Procurement, Customer Service/Sales, Quality, Environmental Health.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business analysis tools.
- Strong background in FP&A or Supply Chain.
- Experience with Infor M3 or other process manufacturing ERP systems.
- Proven ability to create business process maps, functional design documents, and scalable ERP solutions.
- Experience mentoring other analysts and driving standardized BA practices across teams.
Responsibilities
- Business Analysis Leadership
- Develop and mature BA practices across the IT organization.
- Mentor junior and mid-level BAs to ensure requirements gathering and documentation follow best practices.
- Standardize approaches so business outcomes are reliable, consistent, and aligned with corporate strategy.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Elicit, document, and validate business requirements with leaders in operations, supply chain, finance, quality, and production.
- Analyze end-to-end manufacturing workflows, from raw material procurement through production, quality control, and distribution.
- Provide guidance on leveraging out-of-the-box ERP features versus when customizations or extensions are warranted.
- ERP & System Analysis
- Translate business needs into Infor M3 functional requirements, ensuring alignment with best practices.
- Conduct gap analyses between current processes and M3 functionality.
- Collaborate with ERP consultants for integrations, APIs, and modifications.
- Create functional design documents (FDDs) and process maps.
- Testing & Delivery
- Develop test scripts and scenarios for functional, integration, and UAT testing.
- Coordinate UAT sessions with business users, ensuring solutions meet requirements.
- Track and manage defects through resolution.
- Ensure all solutions are scalable, compliant with industry regulations, and compatible with future upgrades.
