Sompo has a unique opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst, Insurance, to join our IT Regulatory Reporting Support team. This role requires expertise in the Commercial Property & Casualty insurance industry, particularly with ISO and NCCI. The candidate should have over 5 years of business analysis experience, be adept in agile methodologies, and be skilled in writing business requirements and process diagrams. Familiarity with policy administration solutions and troubleshooting is essential. Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills are crucial. A B.A or B.S degree is required, with CBAP certification being a plus. Key responsibilities include monitoring ticketing systems, conducting root cause analysis, facilitating approvals, and supporting UAT activities. Location: This position will be based out of our Charlotte, NC office. Our business, your impact, our opportunity: What you’ll be doing: Daily Tasks Perform daily submissions for CV-ALIR, managing errors that come out. Manage the WCPOLS process by submitting required data to Verisk, NCCI, NJ bureau, and CDX platforms to ensure regulatory reporting standards are met. Edit WCPOLS files as needed Monthly Tasks Coordinate and oversee the submission of Canada Auto data, ensuring compliance with regional requirements. Quarterly Tasks Coordinate submitting data for Verisk reporting across Commercial Auto, General Liability, and Property lines. Manage Massachusetts’s Auto reporting to meet quarterly deadlines. Additional Responsibilities Communicate with raters regarding Guidewire errors and facilitate resolution in a timely manner from any submissions, daily or quarterly. Coordinate with Underwriting and Rating: Liaise with teams to update and correct state-related discrepancies found in daily or quarterly reporting. Investigate and Resolve reporting errors: Identify and address reporting issues with the developers. Ensure Accuracy of WCPOLS Files: Review and correct WCPOLS files prior to submission to ensure compliance and data integrity. Monitor the Fresh Service ticketing system for incidents and requests from end-users, analyzing these and either responding to the end-user with a solution or escalating it to the other IT teams. Oversee other resources as needed to make sure target requirements and target dates are met. Identify and resolve application issues to ensure optimal performance and usability for the various system end-users and provide root cause analysis with recommendations for improvements. Provide support to workflows and provide expert knowledge on all workflow designs. Plan, facilitate, and conduct requirements gathering sessions, meetings, and presentations. Lead review sessions for completed business/functional requirements with key business users focused on gaining consensus and final business approval. Build strong relationships within the business units and support functions to understand the business needs. Collaborate with development and testing teams to provide subject matter expertise, ensure that out of the box functionality is leveraged and assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues. Ensure that proposed solutions are focused on improving efficiency and effectiveness of the business processes and are consistent across products where possible. Participate in the development and planning of the User Acceptance Testing activities, including test plans and scripts, based on requirements. Facilitate UAT execution phase and work with business lead and project manager to obtain user acceptance test signoff.
