GENERAL PURPOSE Serves as program manager in planning, directing, and coordinating the Center for Translational Neuromedicine, which consists of two divisions: the Division for Cell & Gene Therapy and the Division of Glial Disease & Therapeutics. Acts as liaison and has extensive contact with University and Medical Center administration, project sponsors, participating centers and regulatory agencies. The Center includes 10 full-time faculty members, 4 adjunct track faculty members, 3 postdoctoral associates, 16 laboratory staff members, 7 graduate students, undergraduate students and an administrative support staff of 4. In addition to primary Center responsibilities, this individual oversees the National Institutes of Health U19 award. Several other research awards include sub-awards with collaborating institutions. The Center has extensive collaborations with our ‘sister’ Center at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. Acts as liaison and has extensive contact with University and Medical Center administration, project sponsors, collaborating departments and institutions, and regulatory agencies. Responsible for overall center administration and related duties requiring experience with policies, procedures, and practices of the University.
