About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Lead - BI Engineer to lead the development and delivery of business intelligence (BI) solutions that empower data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in BI tools and platforms, coupled with leadership skills to guide a team of BI engineers. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to design and implement scalable, efficient, and insightful BI solutions.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in business intelligence development, with at least 2 years in a leadership or technical lead role.
Proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, or similar.
Strong experience with SQL and data modeling for relational and multidimensional databases.
Hands-on experience with data warehousing concepts and platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes and data integration tools.
Solid understanding of data governance, security, and compliance standards.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

Experience with cloud-based BI and analytics platforms (e.g., Azure Synapse, AWS QuickSight, Google Looker).
Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) for data analysis and automation.
Certification in BI tools or data analytics platforms.
Experience with predictive analytics and machine learning integration in BI solutions

Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and deployment of BI solutions, including dashboards, reports, and data visualizations, to meet business needs.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Oversee the development and maintenance of data models, data marts, and semantic layers to support BI initiatives.
Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and performance of BI solutions through rigorous testing and optimization.
Mentor and guide a team of BI engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Evaluate and recommend BI tools, technologies, and frameworks to enhance the organization's analytics capabilities.
Implement and enforce best practices for BI development, data governance, and security.
Work closely with data engineering and data science teams to ensure seamless integration of data pipelines and analytics workflows.
Monitor and troubleshoot BI systems to ensure high availability and performance.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in business intelligence and analytics.
