Global Internal Audit provides independent, objective assurance to management and the risk and audit committees as to whether the framework of risk management, control, and governance processes, as designed and represented by management, is adequate and functioning. We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Credit Risk Audit Manager. As the Senior Credit Risk Audit Manager, you will: Perform quality audit work in accordance with the Group Audit Instruction Manual (AIM) to ensure controls are in place to effectively manage credit risk Ensure related risks, conclusions, root causes proposed management actions are reasonable and well based Responsibility for the drafting of audit reports and conclusions for each audit, ensuring reports accurately reflect audit findings documented in audit work papers Ensure controls are in place to effectively manage and identify credit risk, in accordance with HSBC and regulatory standards Execute a programme of continuous monitoring for a defined portfolio of businesses and countries through the use of data analytics and regular bilateral meetings with stakeholders, participation in governance forums, ongoing analysis of businesses’ risk profiles, and delivery of continuous monitoring reports to contribute to the ongoing review and design of the Annual Audit Plan Maintain and enhance stakeholder relationships through regular bilateral meetings, appropriate challenge in risk governance forums, and keeping in touch with business, regulatory and industry developments Strengthen Internal Audit’s relationship and reputation with key stakeholders including Global Functions, Businesses and Regulators. The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location. You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role: Extensive and proven progressive audit, credit risk management experience and/or business or equivalent A solid understanding of credit risk, with working experience in a retail or wholesale credit risk function desirable An analytical thinker who is confident approaching areas outside of expertise in a thorough and detailed manner, getting to the heart of the key features and aspects quickly A great communicator, verbally and in writing, with convincing presentation, persuasion and influencing skills, even when delivering difficult messages to senior stakeholders A professional with many years of experience working in a dynamic, complex and at times ambiguous environment, with relevant achievements in a function such as audit or credit risk management Dedicated to continually learning and improving skills, which could be demonstrated by holding relevant professional qualifications such as in accountancy, finance or risk management, but also keeping up-to-date with developments in the banking industry, across markets and regulations Excellent at managing multiple competing priorities on different concurrent projects, and able to ensure delivery of objectives through analysis of options and coming to pragmatic decisions A solid team player, with a demonstrable desire to help the team as a whole achieve its objectives.
