Your Role As a Senior Associate Quality Control Chemist in the Sheboygan Quality Control lab, you will evaluate products according to established protocols, provide technical support to fellow chemists, and perform operations in support of the Quality Control department. Additional responsibilities, with a focus on the chemical identification lab, include the following: Perform routine assays and analytical evaluations of products and intermediates, ensuring results meet established specifications and unit operation requirements Review stock suitability data in accordance with Quality Management System (QMS) guidelines to ensure all materials meet laboratory standards Support general quality review functions and maintain meticulous, accurate records in logbooks consistent with cGMP and quality procedures Manage laboratory support tasks, including equipment maintenance, reagent preparation, inventory restocking, and compliant waste disposal Identify and implement process improvements by applying scientific knowledge and experience in compliance with change control procedures Communicate operational status and deviations to management and relevant departments to maintain a focus on customer excellence and site-wide goals Perform procedures accurately and independently, prioritizing responsibilities to stay aligned with established department objectives Act as a technical resource by training personnel, resolving unsafe conditions, and participating in quality audits as needed ACS compendial testing Spectroscopy (ATR/IR, UV-vis, Fluorescence) Water analysis by Karl Fisher (coulometric, volumetric) Hours/Days: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday, on-site position

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or other Life Science discipline
  • 3+ years of combined academic and professional laboratory experience
  • Proficiency in analytical techniques, chemical calculations, and safe laboratory practices
  • Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of Data Integrity principles and proficiency with database software and the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting
  • Demonstrated self-motivation, adaptability, and effective time-management abilities

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other life science discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in a laboratory or quality review environment
