In this role you will be building a platform to consolidate business logic across frontline and self-service tools, aimed at delivering a standardized experience across all channels, brands, and lines of business. We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Software Engineer with a strong emphasis on testing to drive our Behavior Driven Development efforts. The ideal candidate will excel in a collaborative environment that values mob programming, and will play a pivotal role in our engineering team’s day-to-day operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven proficiency in Java and Python programming languages.
- Extensive experience with automation testing frameworks such as JMeter, Locust, Selenium, and Cucumber.
- Knowledge of vulnerability scanning and security testing principles, with experience in OWASP ZAP.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD practices, particularly within GitLab.
- Strong version control skills using Git and understanding of Infra-as-Code concepts with Terraform.
- Demonstrated experience with RESTful APIs performance testing and reading sequence diagrams and OpenAPI specifications.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain backend applications primarily using Java and Python.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop solutions that align with business objectives.
- Develop and automate credible test strategies using Behavior Driven Development principles and Gherkin syntax.
- Write scripts for various testing needs, including data mocking and backend logic.
- Conduct thorough security testing using tools like OWASP ZAP and participate in Application Security Testing (AST).
- Integrate automation testing with CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth deployment through GitLab.
- Mentor team members on best practices in testing automation, software development, and collaborative coding.
