The Plan Production Control Specialist will perform a variety of technical and business tasks in support of production factories or programs. This individual will support the associated tasks listed below which are necessary in order to prevent a work stoppage or a slip in schedule, both of which would have a significant impact to the factory and/or program’s cost and schedule requirements. This position will also directly support CORE and other continuous improvements. What You Will Do Evaluate and coordinate training needs to better utilize metrics and system accuracy. Improve process flows regarding the assemblies that are in progress, material availability, and potential production problems. Solves any potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed. Support analysis of multiple and moderate complexity, Bills of Material in an MRP system; releasing work orders and tracking material though the assembly process Provides support to material supply demand and prepares necessary work orders based on shop load and inventory requirements. Coordinate interdepartmental activities with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, and engineering. Propose solutions to mitigate any work stoppage the factory teams may experience due to any slips in material orders. Interface with internal customers. Leads projects and or teams to accomplish continuous improvement. Controls on hand material through its life cycle; issue to work orders or projects, returns to suppliers, ships to customers, etc. This position is an onsite role in our Tucson, AZ Facility.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field.
  • Experience within Supply Chain Production Control and/or Production control scheduling.
  • Active and transferable Secret clearance level required at time of application.
  • U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain higher clearance level or program access prior to start date.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with special program access or other enterprise planning systems
  • Experience with Government and Depot type processes
  • Experience with MS Excel to include formula application and pivot tables.
  • Experience working with MS Office 365 applications.
  • Experience reading and evaluating lists of parts required for production work and working with a production planning system
