The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst will be responsible for the preparation of the Company’s SEC filings and other financial statements, including XBRL tagging. In addition, the Senior Financial Reporting Analyst will own the preparation of quarterly impairment procedures, as well as other financial analysis as required. The position offers multiple opportunities to showcase analytical and technical accounting skills to various members of senior management and provides great networking opportunities across The Wendy’s Company.

Requirements

Education: Bachelors Degree in Accounting; required
2-5 years accounting/audit experience with Big 4 firm and/or other relevant financial reporting experience.
Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Certified Public Accountant; preferred

Responsibilities

Preparation and review of 10-K and 10-Q filings with the SEC, including financial statement footnotes, Management’s Discussion and Analysis (MD&A), and XBRL reporting.
Performance of the Company’s quarterly impairment-related processes and preparation of related disclosures.
Preparation and review of financial information for investor materials, senior management, lenders and governmental agencies.
Assist with technical accounting research related to new business transactions, as well as application of new FASB pronouncements.
Perform ad hoc analysis on a regular basis, assist in special projects, identify opportunities for process improvements, and train new team members.
