About The Position

The Sr. Business Analyst contributes in a lead role to the Management team by analyzing and synthesizing complex data sets to identify key trends and actionable business opportunities. This role is focused on weeding through vast amounts of data to uncover insights that drive sales and optimize category performance. The Sr. Business Analyst will manage analytical projects from inception to completion, ensuring leadership receives diverse data perspectives and high-impact reporting. As a strategic thought partner, they communicate findings to influence business strategy while collaborating closely with the broader team to provide cross-functional support and assistance wherever necessary.

Requirements

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job
  • 3 Minimum Years of Work Experience
  • Strong project management skills, including strong process orientation, ability to work and lead cross functional teams, strategic thinking and creative problem solving skills
  • Analytical; Extensive knowledge of statistical methods and modeling
  • Ability to establish priorities and procedures for accomplishing work within established deadlines; ability to lead multiple projects and manage toward deadlines and deliverables
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including ability to interact at Officer level; ability to negotiate and persuade
  • Proven success in increasing management roles handling multiple projects with competing deadlines
  • Ability to assimilate extensive amounts of detailed data, analyze and summarize vast amounts of information as well as understand all of the detail supporting the analysis
  • Prior experience in the application of research findings to the retail environment, brand management or category management essential

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Google Big Query, Tableau, etc. and how to structure data and reporting for maximum clarity and impact
  • Skilled in organizing workflows to balance long-term development projects with urgent maintenance and iterative updates
  • A proactive approach to identifying business needs and filling data gaps without waiting for direction
  • Naturally seeks feedback from partners to ensure tools are meeting user needs and driving sales or efficiency
  • Ability to act as a key partner to Field Leaders and SSC partners, balancing competing priorities and managing expectations throughout the development lifecycle
  • Proficiency in Tableau: Ability to build and maintain dashboards that effectively communicate business data and trends
  • Functional Knowledge of GBQ: Basic ability to use Google Big Query to navigate datasets and pull information for reporting and analysis
  • Prior experience in a project management role within a corporate environment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead all phases of a project's life cycle including defining the business need, establishing criteria and business requirements, understanding the impact to the business and designing and rolling out the project
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and perform research and/or analysis within assigned projects or category of business
  • Establish and report on metrics of assigned projects or categories to gauge business value
  • Provide technical leadership of a project work team: may select team members and assess capabilities, provide technical training, provide information necessary to meet work, project or program objectives, evaluate program or project performance
