Position Summary This position is responsible for supporting the Oak Street Health forecasting and reserving processes. Primary responsibilities will entail understanding methodologies and models in order to create month end close and forecast documents. Collaboration with key business partners in actuarial and finance to support business needs. Work with actuarial departments to implement new or updated reserving and forecasting strategies. Conduct ad-hoc analysis using SQL for our business partners to understand financial drivers. The ideal candidate will be able to analyze complex problems, have strong communication skills, can help explain actuarial concepts, at a high level, to non-actuaries, such as finance and business leaders and the ability to analyze and solve complex problems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years relevant work experience in actuarial or related fields
  • ASA or Near ASA
  • Knowledge of SQL is a plus
  • Strong technical, analytical and communication skills
  • Works well with a team

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of health insurance reserving and forecasting methodology
  • Experience with computer programming or advanced VBA knowledge
