About The Position

Dexcom Corporation (NASDAQ DXCM) is a pioneer and global leader in continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), founded 25 years ago with the goal of transforming diabetes management. The company is expanding its vision beyond diabetes to empower individuals to manage their health through personalized, actionable insights. Dexcom aims to become a leading consumer health technology company by continuously innovating biosensing-technology experiences. The Therapeutics, Diagnostics, and Insights (TDI) team, located in Charlottesville, Virginia, is responsible for developing user- and clinician-facing algorithmic features that enhance the therapeutic value of Dexcom’s CGM products. This includes personalized self-care insights, diagnostics, and prescriptive therapeutics, covering the entire spectrum of metabolic health from normal metabolism to various stages of diabetes. The TDI team employs agile R&D practices, utilizing both data-driven and model-based signal processing, control, design, and simulation to develop software prototypes that often transition into clinical trials and commercial software development. Notable past achievements of the TDI team include the creation of 'digital twins' for people with diabetes and the optimization of a fully closed-loop automated insulin delivery system, which demonstrated performance in free-living trials matching simulation predictions.
