About The Position

As a mechanical engineer for the Progeny Systems EW business area, you’ll lead a cross functional team responsible for the mechanical engineering solutions that are needed to deliver cutting edge EW capabilities to our US Navy submarine fleet. Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field.
  • Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for EW systems
  • Experience with design and analysis for shipboard shock, vibration, and thermal environments
  • Support system integration, testing, and qualification activities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams
  • Produce and maintain engineering documentation and drawings
  • Expertise with ASME Y14.100 drawing standards and application of ASME Y14.5 GD&T
  • Ensure designs meet program requirements, schedule, and cost objectives
