About The Position

Senior Advanced Application Engineer for Honeywell International, Inc. (Houston, TX) RESPONSIBILITIES: Work with customers to define solutions that drive their business to new levels. Design, code and debug advanced high-quality applications working with globally spread teams. Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications Perform code reviews, automated and manual unit testing, documentation for any code you design, write or modify Deadlines matter to us. Plan your work and meet your deadlines, while maintaining code quality. Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, consistently take the initiative to get things done. Participate in team planning sessions and commit to deliver as committed by team. Bring new ideas and technologies to the team that can improve the product or process. Provide product and application support for external customers. Collaborate closely with the other members of the team both locally and globally to solve customer problems and to exchange knowledge and best practices. Deliver customer training and provide technical support to the sales organization YOU MUST HAVE: Qualified applicants must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Paper Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, and 8 years of experience with MES systems in Pulp & Paper Industry. Full term of experience must include the following: knowledge of high-level programming languages; working knowledge of Microsoft SQL; ability to learn and demonstrate new skills in short term; understanding various software development lifecycles; knowledge of software configuration management and change management practices; and demonstrate the ability to develop efficient and high-quality software. Up to 20% domestic travel required. Telecommuting permitted up to two (2) times per week. ADDITIONAL INFORMAITON: Job Site: Houston, TX 40 hours/week Eligible for Employee Referral Program: $1500 If offered employment must have legal right to work in U.S. EOE.

Requirements
