This position is responsible for accurately performing the pre-services functions for outpatient diagnostic procedures and completing the scheduling, registration and insurance verification process. Correctly identifies patient and maintains accurate patient information within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Collects applicable financial information including payment for the patient/guarantor. Obtain insurance information, benefits, and authorizations for services provided. Calculates insurance co-pay, deductible and co-insurance. Obtains medical and financial consents, secures proper signatures on required documents. Provides required information to patient concerning the Patient Rights, Privacy and Advance Care Directives. Schedules all outpatient procedures in a timely and accurate manner, based on policy and protocol.
