As a Senior Administrative Assistant, you'll provide administrative support to leadership, management, a department, and / or division or business unit. Requirements

  • A related degree or comparable formal training, certification, or work experience
  • 5 years of experience in an office environment including experience in coordinating projects and / or planning events
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications and the operation / maintenance of office equipment (e.g., copiers / printers, fax machines, conference room audio / video equipment, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including but not limited to proper use of grammar, spelling, and punctuation
  • Attention to detail with ability to organize and prioritize, handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment, and work well and remain composed in stressful situations
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and decision making, employ reasoning skills within scope of established practices / policies, and act without direction unless issues arise outside of known precedent
  • Self-motivated, professional, and conscientious
  • Function in a fast-paced, retail, office environment
  • Travel by car or plane with overnight stays
  • Lift up to 50 lbs., e.g., box of paper
  • Work extended hours and / or rotating schedules

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and updates databases and webpages.
  • Performs advanced, diversified, and confidential administrative functions with a high degree of independent judgment.
  • Applies thorough familiarity with H-E-B and department / division / business unit policies.
  • Plans meetings and events at all levels.
  • Provides specialized support and independently manages the daily coordination of projects / processes for a department / division / business unit.
  • Collects, compiles, and analyzes information for inclusion in reports and presentations for team and leader usage.
