About The Position

The Shared Services Senior Accounts Receivable Analyst will focus primarily on cash application. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate and timely application of customer payments, resolving discrepancies, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The incumbent will utilize their deep expertise in AR processes, strong systems experience, and a collaborative mindset to work closely with the Credit and Collections team to optimize receivables performance.

Requirements

  • Associates degree.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, with a strong focus on cash application.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP in a high-volume, multi-entity environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a Shared Services or global finance environment.
  • Familiarity with automation tools and process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Knowledge of lockbox processing, bank integrations, and electronic payment formats.
  • Understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily cash application activities, ensuring accurate and timely posting of payments across multiple entities and currencies.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve unapplied or misapplied cash issues in collaboration with internal teams and external customers.
  • Work closely with the Credit and Collections team to resolve payment discrepancies, support collection efforts, and improve customer experience.
  • Monitor and analyze AR aging reports, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support month-end close processes, including account reconciliations and reporting.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in cash application.
  • Maintain documentation for internal controls and support audit requests.
  • Train and mentor junior AR analysts, sharing best practices and promoting a culture of continuous learning.
  • Participate in system upgrades, automation initiatives, and cross-functional projects.
  • All other duties assigned by management.
