About The Position

THE POSITION: Reporting to the Vice President, Controller, the Senior Accounting Manager is a key member of the Finance organization, responsible for leading the operation and management of the financial control processes and methodology. He/she will have significant relevant experience with all areas of financial accounting and controls in addition to relationship management within finance and all other operational groups. This role will assist with the audit and ensure all practices are following the correct accounting guidelines and procedures and ensure the financial management of the company as a whole.

Requirements

  • As least 7 years of significant progressive accounting experience
  • Detailed knowledge of state-of-the-art accounting systems and processes to create value
  • Demonstrated ability to acquire, retain and develop talent

  • Netsuite exposure preferred
  • Acquisition integration and purchase accounting experience
  • The ideal candidate will have worked in the healthcare sector (Hospital (for profit) or large multi- location physician practice management) and in a fast-paced growing company

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Controller in leading the accounting control function optimizing financial results
  • Participates in the financial accounting (including directing tax, treasury, and Accounts Payable teams) to ensure all financial data is accurate and timely
  • Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership for the function, coordinating activities and managing direct and indirect reports, including outsourced 3rd parties, to achieve the goals and initiatives needed to ensure success including, but not limited to, the following areas:
  • Audit
  • Credit agreement compliance
  • Accounting policy
  • Controls environment
  • Closing process (timely, accurate, efficient)
  • Revenue accounting
  • Receipt disbursements
  • Cash management and banking relationships
  • Cash flow roll forward forecasting
  • Tax flings and compliance, plus planning for optimal structure
  • Ongoing management of the finance controllership resource strategy including hiring, training and development, and any potential outsourcing where it makes sense, liaising with HR
  • On-going management and assessment of the GL/ERP systems
  • Responsible for running the external audit process and monthly close and reporting cycle
  • Meet all reporting and compliance requirements
  • Ongoing management of the internal controls program
  • Work on all acquisitions with regard to purchase accounting, and integration of practice(s) accounting processes, systems and controls, and lead the financial aspects of all acquisitions
  • Establish and maintain financial objectives, policies, and controls
  • Prepare reports to support agile decision making in a dynamic business environment
  • Responsible for accurate and timely cash flow projections
