About The Position

The role of Senior Accounting and Financial Analyst is responsible for preparing and analyzing financial reports and data to support management decision-making and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. This role involves significant data handling, financial reporting, and a small portion of compliance activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial reporting, analysis, or a related role.
  • Strong proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems, data analysis tools).
  • Ability to move into a leadership role.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is a plus but not required.
  • Knowledge of NetSuite is a plus
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Knowledge of SQL or other data querying languages.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and distribute timely and accurate financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
  • Assist and support in the preparation and processing of annual financial statements and reports.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary financial information for comprehensive reporting.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data in reports by conducting regular reconciliations and validations.
  • Assist in the preparation of management reports and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze large datasets to support financial reporting and decision-making.
  • Implement and maintain financial data systems to streamline reporting processes.
  • Ensure data quality and consistency by conducting regular audits and reviews.
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.
  • Responsible for booking entries to the general ledger and conducting reconciliations.
  • Identify various trends and key findings and report those to the Controller.
  • Review and analyze spend to budget.
  • Ability to interpret financial data and make recommendations.
  • Assess departmental spends and trends and understand why and what is the cause.
  • Additional tasks as assigned.
