About The Position

This position is located at Houston Headquarters and reports to the International Accounting Management Team in Houston. The role is focused on coordinating with and supporting the Accounting and Finance teams in International Divisions. Coordinate and support international accounting teams during accounting close and special projects Analyze international financial statements and data Work with IS team to develop and enhance international accounting systems Convert division financials into relevant GAAP for statutory financials Preparation and analysis of monthly and quarterly international division journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals Assist in the accounts payable process and process international payments Assist with expense report processing for international employees Assist with developing international division budgets, transfer pricing rates, local country sales tax returns Assist with the setup of new vendors and AFE's Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements Candidates should be prepared for a dynamic work schedule that may extend beyond typical business hours to enable communication with International teams Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • 4+ years of upstream accounting and/or international experience highly preferred
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply US GAAP/IFRS and understanding of statutory reporting requirements
  • Detail oriented, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness; ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Strong analytical skills (financial analysis)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive projects forward
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Willingness to travel to international division offices
