A Day in the Life We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to support key financial processes and projects. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepares internal and external financial reports. Compiles and analyzes financial information to record transactions, prepare reports, and review and verify accuracy. Responsible for the adherence to and communication of accounting and auditing policies and procedures and internal controls. Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and reports for accuracy and completeness. Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and journal entries. Ensure compliance with internal policies, GAAP, and relevant regulatory requirements. Assist with balance sheet and profit and loss variance analysis. Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries. Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff. Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for financial data and reporting needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred) and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certification (CPA, CMA, or equivalent) strongly preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP or similar ERP system
  • Experience with process improvement and automation initiatives
  • Big four audit experience
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
