About The Position

GoodRx is seeking an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our Accounting team. The Sr. Accountant will be tasked with ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of accounting records, including period-end close, revenue and sales commission functions. The ideal candidate will be a self-directed, team player working in a fast-paced environment. This individual will report to the Sr. Manager Financial Reporting and Accounting and will work closely with other team members of the Finance team and other business stakeholders across the organization. This is a key role within the Accounting team and provides a great opportunity for professional growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required
  • 5+ years of directly relevant experience including at least 3 years in big 4 public accounting or public company experience is preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Excellent Excel and analytical skills, including vlookups, pivot tables, etc.
  • Extremely organized and autonomous
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Business-minded with superb communication skills
  • Comfortable in a dynamic and fast-moving organization

Nice To Haves

  • CPA license or working towards a CPA is preferred
  • Experience working with financial accounting software (Netsuite, FloQast, Salesforce, etc.) is a plus
  • Exposure to SOX 404b testing and understanding of COSO framework

Responsibilities

  • Owning end-to-end advertising revenue process, from vetting and understanding customer contracts, utilizing Netsuite advanced revenue module to load new contracts and recognize revenue in accordance with ASC 606
  • Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations as part of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process in accordance with GAAP
  • Develop and document internal controls in accordance with SOX
  • Assist with aspects of the annual financial audit and initiate corrective actions when necessary
  • Regularly collaborate with non-accounting functions, including sales and HR teams, to gather pertinent information to drive timely and accurate financial reporting to leadership teams
  • Ensure the highest quality of accounting activities across entities: month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, consolidation, financial reporting, etc.
  • Ad hoc financial analysis and reporting in support of executives
  • Provide timely and quality support to other departments, as needed
  • Drive system automations, implement change and resolve problems, as needed
