About The Position

Record revenue and process natural gas plant allocations for oil and gas sales associated with company and outside operated properties, as well as collect associated accounts receivable. Review and process division of interest changes received from Land Administration. Monitor gas balancing, pipeline imbalances, and prepare related general ledger entries. Coordinate with the Regulatory team to report royalties and State severance taxes. Perform account reconciliations and analysis on revenue related general ledger accounts. Respond to royalty owner inquiries and work on special projects. A Bachelor ' s or Master ' s degree in a business or business-related field from an accredited institution, which includes accounting class hours (core classes such as Principles of Accounting, Intermediate Accounting, and other relevant coursework required). 5+ years of oil and gas revenue accounting experience. CPA is a plus. Working knowledge of and ability to apply generally accepted accounting principles. Requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with others in the organization to consistently meet rigorous deadlines. Requires accuracy and demonstrated analytical ability, as well as the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively. Must be able to perform most assignments with minimal supervision. Must be proficient in Windows, MS Excel, and Word. Knowledge of AS400 system and MS Queries a plus. Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
