Reconcile daily & monthly cash flow and accounts receivable. Asset Management: Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date fixed asset register. This involves tracking acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and retirements of assets. Manage all banking activities including LOC and loan. Maintain contract and legal documents and communicate with outside attorney. Research accounting issues for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Create/document accounting memo based on the accounting policy and new regulation. Risk Management: Identify and assess various risks the company may face, such as fraud, errors, or regulatory violations. Monitoring and Evaluation: Regularly monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of existing control systems to ensure they are functioning as intended. Reporting and Improvement: Report any issues or areas for improvement in the internal control system to management or the board and propose solutions. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the company adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. Prepare and/or review appropriate general ledger entries and reconcile accounts for completeness. Perform financial and detail expense analysis of systems and business data as required for assigned projects or ad-hoc tasks as needed. Prepare and respond to regulatory internal and external financial audits; prepare, review, analyze and submit necessary documents. Manage the setup, validation and maintenance of all master data in the accounting system. Manage company business insurances by working with business insurance broker to analyze risks, gaps, compliance, coverage, management, proposal and renewal of the insurances. Manage workers comp as related claims/review, injuries/required forms from HR, litigation/investigations due to claims, audit, renewal. Communicate claim and reserve information to management and interface with carrier/broker on claims/injuries/inquiries. Direct and perform ad hoc projects and analysis as assigned by management, working independently or with cross-functional teams. Depending on candidate’s ability and training progress, this role can expand to manage accounting staff.
